Meet Kevin Beye: Three Months In, and Building Hingvel
When you bring someone on board to lead your technology, the first ninety days tell you almost everything. The cadence they set. The questions they ask. The way they hold both the immediate and the horizon at the same time. Three months ago, Kevin Beye joined Payfasto as our Chief Technology Officer, and we are pleased to share that the early signs have become firm ground.
Kevin has been with us long enough now to make his presence felt across the business. He has visited our team in person on several occasions, and each visit has moved things forward in a meaningful way. The conversations are sharper, the roadmap is clearer, and the work carries the kind of momentum you only see when the right person is at the helm of the build.
Hingvel: A Platform with a Name That Means Something
Much of Kevin’s focus over these first months has been on Hingvel, our proprietary platform now nearing completion. The name is Estonian, chosen deliberately to anchor the product in the place that shaped it and to reflect the spirit we want at the core of what we build.
Hingvel represents something we have wanted for a long time. A system built from the ground up, owned end to end, and shaped around the realities of the markets we serve. Rather than stitching together off-the-shelf components and accepting their compromises, we have invested in technology that we control, that we can evolve at our own pace, and that reflects how we believe payment infrastructure should work.
Bringing a platform of this scope close to the goal line in three months is no small achievement. It requires technical depth, sound architectural judgement, and the kind of steady leadership that turns ambition into shipped software. Kevin has brought all three to the table from day one.
More Than the Code
What has impressed us most about Kevin is not only what he builds, but how he builds. He listens before he speaks. He invites challenge rather than avoiding it. He cares about the people around him as much as the systems they are creating, and that culture flows through a business in ways that compound over time.
We are fortunate to have him with us, and we are looking forward to the next chapter, with Hingvel ready to step into the light and Kevin guiding the engineering vision that will carry Payfasto into its next phase.
